We had a front pass through. Today was a record high and tonight is supposed to be a record low. In the meantime, the wind blew hard.
A while back AJ built an anemometer from scratch out of PVC cups, a rollerblade bearing, a hard drive bearing and a bicycle speedometer. The wind was from the west, so the anemometer was somewhat blocked by a tree. Still, it clocked steady winds of 15 to 25mph all afternoon with gusts at least up to 40.4mph. It finally rained for a few minutes and cooled down outside. The wind is gone, but the garden is leaning towards the East.
